# workspace

A **workspace** is the section in BoreDoc where drill sites for an account are managed.

It helps to organise drill sites clearly in one place and to edit them collaboratively.

Additional data such as boreholes, samples, photos or documentation are stored within a drilling site.

A workspace can also be shared with other clients or accounts . This allows you to control who is permitted to access the contained drill sites and their data.
