# How do I scan a QR code?

To scan a QR code, select ‘Register or Log in’ from the BoreDoc context menu. If this menu option is not visible, you must first delete your login details for the BoreDoc server. This will only remove your login details; the site data you have recorded will remain intact.

After selecting “Register or Log in”, you will be taken to the standard login and registration screen. There, you also have the option to scan a QR code. To do this, select the relevant option on the screen.

When scanning, please note that the QR code scanner may react very quickly and could potentially detect another QR code in the vicinity. As a precaution, please cover any other QR codes nearby.

If your device does not have a camera, the process can also be carried out manually. Further information can be found in the following article: [How do I use a QR code without a camera on my device?](FKBCKW_qr-code-ohne-kamera.md)
