The data for **site plan (sketch)** is derived from the **coordinates of the individual boreholes** within a drilling site.

The data is entered in the master data for the respective borehole in the **Location / Coordinates** section.

To ensure that a meaningful site plan can be generated, valid and as precise as possible coordinates should be available for all relevant boreholes.

The data is maintained as follows:

- **Borehole coordinates**: Geographical coordinates are stored for each borehole. These form the basis for the display in the site plan.
- **Supported coordinate systems**: Data can be entered in various formats, e.g. GPS or UTM. The data is standardised internally and displayed correctly on the map.
- **Multiple boreholes**: All boreholes at a drilling site are displayed together in the site plan, so that their relative spatial positions are visible.
- **Automatic zoom**: The map section is automatically selected to ensure that all boreholes are displayed optimally.
- **Overview and detailed view**: If boreholes are very close together, e.g. in the case of multiple geothermal boreholes, an overview map with an enlarged detailed view can also be generated.

The site plan is based on map data and shows the positions of the boreholes schematically.

Maintenance notes:

- Check that coordinates have been entered for all boreholes to be displayed.
- Use consistent and plausible position data within a single drilling site.
- For boreholes that are very close together, check particularly carefully that the position points have been set correctly.
- Please note that inaccurate or missing coordinates will directly result in inaccurate or incomplete site plans.

If you have not yet maintained the position data, please first read the help text **Position / Coordinates**.
