The data for the **pump test (performance measurement)** is recorded in the **Field Tests** section for the relevant borehole.

There, an entry of the type **Pump Test** is first created and then populated with general details and the individual measured values.

To ensure a complete pumping log and a meaningful pumping diagram can be produced, both the test’s master data and the chronologically ordered measurement points must be recorded in full.

The details are maintained as follows:

- **Create test**: In the **Field Tests** section, a new entry of the type **Pump Test** is added.
- **Reference**: A unique name is assigned to the test, e.g. `Pump Test #1`.
- **Type**: The type of field trial is set to **Pump Test**.
- **Measurement Interval**: The measurement interval in minutes defines the time interval between measurement points and is also shown in the generated document.
- **Technician**: The technician responsible, including their signature, is assigned to the test.
- **Comments**: Additional notes on the procedure or any special features of the test can be entered in the comments field.
- **Measurement points**: A separate entry is created for each measurement time.
- **Date and time**: Each measurement point is assigned a specific timestamp.
- **Pump capacity**: The measured pump capacity is recorded for each measurement point.
- **Groundwater level**: In addition, the corresponding groundwater level is documented for each measurement point.
- **Chronological order**: The measurement series should be maintained in full and in the actual chronological order so that the log and diagram are generated correctly.
- **Automatic analysis**: The tabular pumping log, the total duration, the total discharge volume and the pumping diagram are automatically generated from the entered measurement values.

The pumping test thus documents not only individual measurement values, but above all the temporal relationship between pumping capacity and water level during the performance measurement of a well.

Notes on data maintenance:

- Assign a clear and distinctive reference to each pumping test.
- Record the measurement interval consistently with the actual measurement points recorded.
- Ensure that the date and time of the measurement points are complete and in chronological order.
- Check that the flow rate and groundwater level have been entered plausibly at all measurement points.
- Specify a technician if the document is to be issued with a signature.
