# Edit drill site

In the **“Edit drill site”** view, you maintain the common master data for a drilling site. This information forms the technical framework for all associated boreholes and is reused in overviews and in generated documents.

In particular, you enter the following here:

- **Name and description** for unique identification in lists and selection dialogues
- **Site number** as an additional internal or external reference
- **Address** of the drilling site as a legible location detail for documents
- **client** containing the details of the person or organisation commissioning the work
- **contractor** containing the contact details of the contractor

A drill site describes the shared construction site. The individual technical details of a specific borehole – such as coordinates, borehole sections or strata – are not maintained here, but within the respective borehole record.

In the lower section, you will see the list of associated boreholes. There, you can:

- create new boreholes
- duplicate existing boreholes
- delete boreholes that are no longer required

Guidelines for maintaining the drilling site:

- Use descriptions that clearly identify the project, location or contract.
- Maintain client and contractor exactly as they are to appear in documents.
- Enter the address in such a way that it can be used as a clear description of the location.
- Then add the individual drill holes if the data differs for each borehole.
