# Function description: BoreDoc roles

The following authorisation levels are available for collaboration via BoreDoc-sharings:

- **Read**: Existing records may only be read.
- **Edit**: Existing records may be read and edited. Deletion is not permitted.
- **Create**: Records may be created and edited. Deletion is not permitted.
- **Delete**: Records may be created, edited and deleted. sharings in workspaces must not be altered.
- **Admin**: Records may be created, edited and deleted. sharings in workspaces may be modified.

The **Admin** permission level should be assigned with particular caution.

Always select the permission level so that only the actions actually required for the task in question are permitted.
