# Information required for a drilling profile

The data for the **borehole profile** is compiled from several sections of the respective borehole.

The geological information is recorded in the **Stratigraphic Index** section, whilst the borehole lining is recorded in the **Lining** section.

The content is maintained as follows:

- **Stratigraphic Index**: The geological sequence of strata is defined via depth intervals in the stratigraphic index. Soil types and their properties are recorded there for each stratum.
- **Lining (Strand)**: The technical lining of the borehole, e.g. solid pipes or filter pipes, is recorded in the ‘Strang’ section. Multiple strings within a single borehole can also be recorded here.
- **Display in the document**: The borehole profile currently displays the first string recorded.
- **Borehole data**: General information such as the starting point or final depth is taken from the borehole’s master data.

The borehole profile combines the geological and technical data into a single representation of the subsurface and the borehole lining.
